HELLO!

My name is Kawá Huni Kuin.

I am a teacher, musician and pajé (traditional healer) from the Huni Kuin (Kaxinawá) indigenous group based in Acre, Brazil.

I also study the English language in order to share my culture and traditions with the world. Through these activities, I am able to support my family, my community and provide awareness to the world about the Indigenous peoples of Acre and Brazil.

Here you will be able to contribute to the Huni Kuin community in many ways:

* Invite me to speak about life in the rainforest

* Attend my storytelling and singing events

* Sign up for an online course to learn my language, Hantxa Kuin

* Purchase artwork made by the women in my family

* Donate to my building project in the rainforest.

* You can listen and support my music on Soundcloud and Bandcamp.

Here are some links of my previous activities, when I was a very beginner in English.

* BBC Radio 4

* Extinction Rebellion

* Ódio à democracia

* YUPUMÁ Film

Thank you for your visit,
Barixá, Barixá!
